Descriptive url's

USE URL ADDRESSES I CAN READ! VIKINGS AND ALIENS HAVE NEVER BEEN FRIENDS!

“Uniform Resource Locators” are IP addresses in plain text. They are the addresses we use in the browser address bar. While computers and servers may communicate with each other in numbers, people prefer text that can be read easily. They were designed for a reason but nowadays URL’s are often automatically created and no more readable (called Dynamic URL’s), nor for humans, nor for search engines.

Make your URL addresses more descriptive! Descriptive addresses look good to the user, they are easy to share but more important they help search engines to know what your page talks about. Keeping them relative and compelling will help your search engine ranking. If your website has only a few web pages, you can change the URL’s manually.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Descriptive addresses are great. But if you can make them also brief, you’ll benefit even more. The fewer the words contained in the address, the more weight each word receives from the search engine crawler. Don’t use capital letters in the address because Linux servers are case sensitive.

CONCLUSION:

We understand that some of you have already invested serious amounts of capital in building a website but without receiving the promised rewards.
