Have a contact form


Your website visitors want to be able to contact you to inquire information about products or services. And if they don’t connect right now, before buying anything from you, they need to know they can conveniently get in touch with you in the future (e.g. for warranty issues). By providing easy ways for them to connect, you will increase trust and they will be more inclined to do business with you. Maybe you have a page with your email address that when clicked will open a new email message box. That’s great but this will only work if your visitor has an off-line mail client (such as Outlook) instead of a web based client. Provide a contact form instead (and send his message to his email inbox afterwards). In this way you can also gently request your visitor to provide specific details like order/invoice number or telephone number, something he or she otherwise might forget. It can also help you to direct customer messages to the right people within your organization.

Messages can be automatically entered and stored in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software. In that way, an entire team can efficiently manage ongoing communication between both parties.
